Finca La Piragua is a testament to the vision of Alexander Vargas. While the farm is famous for its striking dragon fruit plantations—a strategic move for crop diversification—its heart lies in specialty coffee. Founded in 2000 on reclaimed shrubland, the farm was built entirely from scratch by the Vargas family. Currently, 7 hectares are dedicated to coffee production, with 3 hectares allocated to pitaya. Alexander manages the cultivation and harvest, while he and his wife, Lidia, personally oversee the fermentation and drying processes.
