JJ’s Place is a Midlands-based bakery with some really incredible sourdough. They have been our neighbors at Soda City Market where we regularly enjoy the full variety of their offerings - but at Curiosity we use their sourdough bread for grilled cheeses and avocado toast as well as offering it as a bread option for other sandwiches. |

Lowcountry Kettle Lowcountry Kettle owners, Andrew Trumbull and Clayton Wynne, were working together at The Obstinate Daughter restaurant on Sullivan’s Island when the idea first arose to start a potato chip company. Andrew, a FOH manager at the time, was attending a managers meeting when the topic of potato chips came up as a possible grab-and-go item to carry at the property’s gelateria below. Everyone at the table agreed that chips would make a great addition for those customers looking for a salty snack option. The table also agreed the chips should be locally sourced. However, after a few blank stares and empty google searches, it became very apparent that no such item currently existed in the Charleston or South Carolina market. |

Watson Farms Their farm consists of about 350 acres of rolling pastures in Chester and York counties, S.C. The farm is ideal for livestock with two ponds and a creek running through it. There are three generations of Watsons that live on the farm and depend on the it for their livelihood. Because their lives depend on the farm one of their foremost concerns is sustainability – that is, ensuring that what the farm produces in the future will be no less than what it produces now. |
